Clean the Affected Area: Before applying the ointment, gently clean the affected area with mild soap and water. Pat dry with a clean towel. Apply the Ointment: Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected area (hemorrhoids or anal fissures). Use a clean finger or the applicator (if included) to apply the ointment directly to the area. Use as Needed: Apply the ointment 2-3 times per day, or as directed by your healthcare provider. You may also apply it after bowel movements for additional relief. Wash Hands: After applying the ointment, wash your hands thoroughly to avoid transferring the ointment to sensitive areas or mucous membranes.
